Well-informed sources told TMZ that "the couple ended their romantic relationship around the end of 2024."

However, as noted by sources from the publication, "there is no animosity between the former couple... their relationship simply ran its course after a good three years together."

The star of "Elvis" and the model began dating in 2021. The couple was nearly inseparable for a time, and Butler, in particular, helped Gerber move into her new home back in mid-2023. At that time, it was unclear if they were living there together, but it still sparked engagement rumors, the publication notes.

Nonetheless, a source close to the couple reportedly later put an end to discussions about them planning to marry, even though they remained very close.

"Unfortunately, the former lovers never took their relationship to the next level... and in recent months, Austin and Kaia were increasingly seen apart," the publication highlights.

It is reported that Kaia joined her mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford, and father, Randy Gerber, for a family getaway in Cabo San Lucas to ring in 2025. "When her brother, Presley Gerber, brought along his girlfriend, model Isabella Jones, for the vacation, Austin was noticeably absent - many were surprised as he usually joined them," the publication points out.
