In 2024, Ukraine's Ministry of Health supplied medical facilities with 3,650 new generators.

The Ministry of Health has supplied 3,650 new generators to medical facilities in Ukraine for the year 2024. Currently, healthcare institutions have a total of 11,820 generators, 1,185 Starlink stations, and over 90 facilities equipped with solar panels.

Last year, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine coordinated the delivery of 3,650 new generators to the country's medical institutions, thanks to collaboration with international partners and donors.

One of the requirements for contracting with the NHIF is that hospitals with inpatient departments must have at least one generator.

Currently, medical facilities possess 11,820 generators. Special emphasis is placed on ensuring autonomy for 636 hospitals that are part of the capable network.

297 - are fully autonomous - they have their own boiler houses, wells, and generators;

561 - have a backup heating source (boiler house);

376 - have their own wells.

636 - are equipped with generators.

To maintain communication with the electronic healthcare system during power outages, some hospitals have installed satellite internet stations.

Currently, 1,185 Starlink stations are operational in medical institutions, ensuring stable communication during outages.

Particular attention is being paid to ecological and alternative energy sources. More than 90 medical institutions already have solar panels with energy storage batteries. In 193 facilities, 1,295 Tesla batteries have been supplied for storing energy generated from solar panels.

This year, 5,876 solar panels were delivered to Ukraine from the "Ray of Hope" charitable foundation.

The installation process is currently underway in 18 medical institutions.
