The reserve forces of the Israeli army are withdrawing a significant amount of weapons, rockets, and launchers from southern Lebanon. This indicates successful attacks and a reduction in the capabilities of the "Hezbollah" group in the region.
This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, as reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the IDF's Telegram channel.
On Tuesday, November 12, the general assessed the situation in southern Lebanon together with the commander of the Northern Command, Lieutenant General Ori Gordin, the commander of the 91st Division, Lieutenant General Shaï Calper, and other commanders.
Halevi also addressed the reserve commanders and soldiers operating in this sector.
He noted that the IDF has deprived the "Hezbollah" group of significant combat capabilities due to the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah and "members of the organization's jihad council, commanders of its units and various sectors, divisions, formations, and many militants."
Halevi also described the withdrawal of a large quantity of weapons, rockets, and launchers from this area as "very important."
"At the same time, the IDF is acting very powerfully. We have struck hard at "Hezbollah" targets in Beirut, Dahia, and other locations. We are delivering deep strikes, especially frequently in Syria and along the Syrian-Lebanese border, to prevent the transfer of weapons to "Hezbollah." Clearing this territory will provide the basic conditions to do everything properly and truly ensure safety in the lower parts of this valley," Halevi said.
Since October 1, the Israel Defense Forces have been conducting a ground operation in southern Lebanon against the terrorist group "Hezbollah," which has been continuously shelling the northern areas of the country.
On November 9, Halevi reported that the IDF eliminated about 1000 "Hezbollah" terrorists in the Jabalia area of the Gaza Strip and captured nearly as many, which inflicted serious damage on the Hamas group.
On November 8, it became known that the IDF destroyed "Hezbollah" installations from which militants were shelling Israeli cities.
Additionally, the Israeli army blew up weapons depots of the Lebanese group in Syria.
