Forward Daniil Sikan from Donetsk's "Shakhtar" scored the first goal in the match against the Dutch team PSV during the 5th round of the main stage of the Champions League.

The "Miners" took the lead in the 8th minute. Riznyk passed the ball to Konoplya on the right flank, who then played a wall pass with Zubkov in the opponent's half and crossed the ball into the penalty area. There, Sikan anticipated the play and sent the ball into the far corner.

"Shakhtar" doubled their advantage before halftime. Konoplya intercepted the ball on the right flank and played it to Zubkov. The winger of the Ukrainian giant skillfully placed the ball into the far corner of the net.

Pushych's team started the tournament with a goalless draw against Italian "Bologna". In that match, Sudakov missed a penalty in the opening minutes.
Subsequently, the "Miners" suffered two defeats. They lost a nominal home match (0:3) to "Atalanta" from Bergamo. Meanwhile, under Pushych’s guidance, they narrowly lost to London’s "Arsenal" away.
In the 4th round, "Shakhtar" celebrated their first victory. In a comeback style, the "Miners" defeated Swiss "Young Boys" (2:1). The goals for the Ukrainian champions were scored by Zubkov and Sudakov.
