Russia has redeployed a portion of North Korean troops to the border region of Belgorod. Additionally, soldiers from the DPRK have already been spotted in the Kharkiv direction.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, in Telegram, and the commander of the joint unit 153 OMBR, Nazariy Kishak, during a telethon.
"A part of the military from North Korea has been moved to the border areas of Belgorod," Kovalenko stated.
At the same time, Kishak noted that North Korean soldiers had been seen in the Kharkiv direction. However, he did not specify their numbers.
"But I see that they are dividing into units, strengthening their combat capabilities, and are already creating a small accumulation at the front line," he explained.
Kishak also added that the occupiers are anticipating worsening weather conditions to initiate a new series of assaults.
"The equipment they have left consists of several undestroyed tanks and motorized blocks. I don’t see any other equipment. Of course, there are pickups that we are burning daily in the Kharkiv direction. But I do not observe any massed equipment like what is currently happening in the Kupiansk and Toretsk directions," the military official pointed out.
We remind you that North Korea has sent troops to assist Russia. North Korean soldiers underwent training at ranges in the eastern part of the Russian Federation before being dispatched to the Ukrainian border.
Moreover, DPRK forces have already participated in combat operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. According to the Financial Times, North Korea has also supplied Russia with long-range missile and artillery systems.
Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga stated that DPRK wants to obtain technologies from Russia in exchange for soldiers. This includes technologies related to missile, nuclear, and other military programs.
