The dollar is rising: currency exchange offices have updated their rates.

The exchange rate of the dollar in currency exchange offices in Ukraine continues to rise. The euro has also appreciated.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing market monitoring data.

As of the morning of October 29, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 10 kopecks to 41.65 hryvnias, while the euro rose by 5 kopecks to 45.25 hryvnias.

In exchange offices, the dollar is bought at an average of 41.15 hryvnias, and the euro at 44.55 hryvnias.

On the interbank market, the rate today stands at 41.40-41.42 UAH/USD (buy-sell) - an increase of 3 kopecks compared to the previous day's close.

Official Rate

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has raised the dollar rate against the hryvnia. The dollar has been rising for the second consecutive day.

The official rate as of October 29, 2024, is set at: 41.3292 hryvnias per 1 dollar (+0.0157 UAH).

The euro rate will be 44.6975 hryvnias per 1 euro (-0.0161 UAH).

Rate Forecast

ICU analysts note an increase in demand for currency on the interbank market last week. However, the NBU did not significantly increase its interventions, allowing the rate to cross the level of 41.3 UAH/USD twice during the week.

According to their forecast, this week the National Bank may continue to maintain it at the same level as the previous one.

"At the same time, we maintain the assumption that a moderate devaluation of the hryvnia could occur by the end of the year within 2-3%," the review states.

The less active appreciation of the American currency in the retail segment was due to the banks' slower response to changes in the interbank currency market, ICU analysts note.
