A repeat offender stole a bicycle from an acquaintance in Kharkiv region while he was supposed to be heading to work.

In the Kharkiv region, police reported a suspect who fled on someone else's bicycle.

This was announced by the communication department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as reported by "Dumka".

According to law enforcement, the offender asked the victim for the bicycle under the pretense of needing it to go to work.

Misled, the man willingly handed over his bicycle, after which the acquaintance disappeared in an unknown direction.

Police identified the offender. He turned out to be a 35-year-old man with a previous conviction that has not been removed or extinguished in accordance with the law.

The police informed the offender of the suspicion of committing a crime.
