The Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision that will allow the procurement of weapons and equipment for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine amounting to 150 million hryvnias.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
"The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to allocate 150 million UAH, received by the state enterprise 'Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property' for actions related to the protection of rights to intellectual property objects, for the purchase of weapons and equipment for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense," the Ministry of Economy noted.
The agency reminded that back in September, the Rada permitted the use of funds that were not spent by the 'Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property.'
According to the government’s decision, the funds must be transferred by December 1, 2024.
Recall that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed the law on the state budget for 2025 yesterday, November 28.
In particular, the document stipulates that 2.23 trillion hryvnias will be allocated for the financing of Security Forces and defense production.
