Fog is approaching Kyiv: residents have been warned about potential hazards on the roads.

Fog is expected in Kyiv in the coming hours. It will last until the first half of the day on November 26.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine citing State Emergency Service.

According to rescuers, fog is anticipated shortly in Kyiv, as well as in the southern and eastern regions. It will persist until the end of the day and is also expected overnight and in the morning of November 26.

The forecast visibility is 200-500 meters. The first, yellow level of danger has been announced. Weather conditions may lead to transportation disruptions.

We advise drivers to follow simple yet effective tips for a safe journey:

• avoid risky maneuvers and speeding;
• reduce speed when approaching pedestrian crossings;
• increase the distance between vehicles;
• if equipped with fog lights, turn them on along with low beam headlights;
• when stopping, always activate the hazard lights;
• use safety features for both adults and children.

We advise pedestrians to:

• be vigilant and cross the road only at designated places;
• wear reflective elements in clothing.
