"Additionally, by the middle of last month, we had delivered 83% of the critical ammunition that we committed to provide from our stockpiles, including 155mm artillery shells, GMLR anti-aircraft missiles, Patriot, NASAMS, rockets, and much more," Ryder stated.

The Pentagon spokesperson reported that 67% of other critical air defense commitments have been fulfilled, including Stinger and Hawk missiles, and 60% of fire support systems, including small-diameter bombs and 105mm munitions.

"We have delivered hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of armored vehicles, thousands of munitions for HIMARS and anti-tank weapons, dozens of artillery systems, significant air defense capabilities including a Patriot battery, hundreds of interceptors, and dozens of other systems," he said.

Regarding funding, the Pentagon has a total of $7.1 billion in PDA. An additional $2.2 billion is available through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), Ryder reported.

"We will continue to expedite assistance and utilize the resources we have to ensure Ukraine receives what it needs to deter and combat Russian aggression. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure Ukraine gets the necessary support," Ryder added.

Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. will send more than 500 interceptor missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine. These deliveries are expected to meet Ukraine's air defense needs by the end of this year.
