European Union ambassadors will convene on Wednesday, November 27, to discuss the 15th package of sanctions against Russia. In particular, restrictions are set to be imposed on the Russian "shadow fleet."
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Reuters.
Sources from the publication clarify that, in addition to sanctions against the "shadow fleet," the document is expected to include restrictions on Chinese companies involved in the production of drones for Russian occupiers.
Additionally, according to Reuters' sources, the sanctions list will be expanded to include a total of 29 legal entities and 54 individuals. Currently, it already includes more than 2,200 individuals and legal entities.
Journalists indicate that no significant opposition to the new sanctions package is anticipated.
Reuters specifies that 48 tankers, which Russia uses to circumvent the price cap on oil set by the "Group of Seven," may be subjected to sanctions.
Recall that yesterday, November 25, it became known that Britain implemented the largest package of sanctions against the Russian "shadow fleet".
The restrictions affected 30 tankers involved in transporting Russian oil. Half of these vessels have transported oil and products worth up to 4.3 billion dollars over the past year.
