The intelligence agencies of South Korea and the United States have separately confirmed that North Korean troops are engaged in combat alongside Russian forces in the Kursk region.

On November 13, South Korea's National Intelligence Service confirmed that "North Korean troops deployed in Russia" are already participating in combat following the completion of their training and gradual deployment on the battlefield over the past two weeks.
U.S. State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel stated during a briefing on November 12 that over 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been deployed in eastern Russia. Most of them have now moved to the western part of the Kursk region, "where they have begun to participate in combat alongside Russian troops."
The North Korean regime has sent its troops to assist Russia in the war against Ukraine. Estimates suggest that between 8,000 to 12,000 soldiers have arrived in Russia to counter the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Recently, the Defense Forces have already encountered North Korean soldiers on the battlefield.
