On the morning of January 31, the Russian Federation deployed a cruise missile carrier of the "Kalibr" type into the Black Sea. This poses a renewed threat of shelling for Ukraine from that direction.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 06:00, there are 2 enemy ships recorded in the Black Sea, one of which is a "Kalibr" carrier capable of launching up to 4 missiles.
Meanwhile, there are no Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov; however, 6 enemy ships have been detected in the Mediterranean Sea, 2 of which are "Kalibr" missile carriers with a total salvo of up to 22 units.
Additionally, over the past day, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of the Russian Federation:
"The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems," the Navy added.
Recall that earlier, Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk stated that the Russians refused to repair military ships at facilities in Crimea due to fears of potential Ukrainian strikes.
He reminded that Ukraine destroyed the ship "Cyclone" in Sevastopol Bay, carried out two strikes on the submarine "Rostov-on-Don," and also targeted the ship "Askold" in Kerch.
