Some of Donald Trump's advisors are urging him to prematurely declare victory in the U.S. presidential election on the night of November 6, provided he has a significant lead over Kamala Harris in key states.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing The Guardian.
According to the publication, some in Trump's circle believe he stands to lose nothing by declaring victory if he has an advantage of several hundred thousand votes in Pennsylvania or if closed Republican polls indicate a potential win.
However, those around the former U.S. president caution that if the margin is narrow in key states, Trump should refrain from making announcements.
This viewpoint was expressed by former White House strategist Stephen Bannon, who, according to sources from the publication, spoke with Trump last week.
The Guardian notes that it is unclear what decision the Republican presidential candidate has made for himself. However, sources indicate that the final call will rest with Trump, and if he chooses to prematurely declare himself the victor, he will not be dissuaded from doing so.
It’s worth noting that today, November 5, presidential elections are taking place in the U.S. The Republican candidate is Donald Trump, while the Democratic candidate is Kamala Harris.
Additionally, Trump has already cast his vote in Florida. He has also stated that he is confident in his victory.
Previously, the media reported that Trump might prematurely announce his victory in the elections. In anticipation of this, Democrats are preparing a swift response.
