President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that he will not be a dictator — "except for the first day." According to his own claims, there is much to accomplish on his first day in the White House.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing AP.
His agenda includes:
"I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill," he said regarding his plans for the first day.
Trump's press secretary, Caroline Levitt, stated that there will be dozens of executive orders in the first week.
Trump's press secretary, after he was declared the winner of the elections on Wednesday, said that he will now be able to "negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine." She later added: "This includes, on the first day, sitting Ukraine and Russia down at the negotiation table to end this war."
It is worth noting that Trump has previously claimed he could end Russia's war against Ukraine in a single day. According to media reports, a proposal was discussed that would require Ukraine to concede some of its territories.
Recently, British media published another version of Trump's so-called "peace plan" for Ukraine, which includes European troops in a buffer zone between Ukraine and Russia.
After his re-election, a Trump advisor stated that it is already "unrealistic" for Ukraine to regain Crimea. However, the office of the newly elected president denied such a statement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on Trump's potential plan, warned that a swift end to the war could lead to losses for Ukraine.
On November 10, The Washington Post reported that Trump spoke with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on Thursday. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that they were unaware of this.
