As of now, it remains unclear what "Donald Trump's plan for Ukraine" entails. Neither he nor members of his current team have made any specific proposals directly to Kyiv.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing sources from the highest military-political leadership of Ukraine.

According to the RBK-Ukraine article, the "leaks" in the media regarding various "peace plans" and concepts are currently part of an internal struggle within the future U.S. president's circle, which began long before the elections.

Moreover, social media antics related to Ukraine from billionaire Elon Musk or President Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., also fit within this competition for the attention of the top leader.

Meanwhile, he is primarily focused on domestic political issues, which have always been a priority for Trump. However, he will soon turn his attention to Ukraine more seriously. Another phone call to the Kremlin is likely to take place, this time more substantive. Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak will also head to the U.S. soon.

"It is important for us to get to Trump before the Russians do, to advance our concept," a source in the presidential circle told RBK-Ukraine.

Trump's Plans

Recall that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump made skeptical statements about support for Ukraine during his election campaign. He also claimed that he could end the war with just one phone call. However, Trump did not disclose the details of his plan.

Western media have published versions of the so-called Trump peace plan. In particular, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that under the plan, Ukraine allegedly promises not to join NATO for 20 years, while the U.S. will continue to provide weapons. However, Ukraine would also have to give up 20% of its territory.

The Telegraph reported that Trump may call for European and British troops to establish a 1200 km buffer zone between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
