Ukrainian people's deputy of the ninth convocation, Oleg Makarov, has passed away. He was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the "Holos" party.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
"The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, its apparatus, and the people's deputies of Ukraine received the news of Oleg Makarov's death with deep sorrow," the statement reads.
It is also noted that Makarov served as the secretary of the Rada's committee on legal policy.
Oleg Anatolyevich Makarov (born July 24, 1965, in Kyiv) was a judicial lawyer, managing partner of a law firm, head of its legal department, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council of the VIII convocation, and a people's deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation from the "Holos" party.
Since 1992, he worked as the managing partner of a law firm. In 2007, he took the position of deputy head of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Kyiv City Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission and became a board member of the public organization "Ukrainian Bar Association." Since 2015, he served as a member of the Ethics Commission of this organization.
As a deputy of the Kyiv City Council of the VIII convocation, he headed the permanent commission on regulations and deputy ethics.
