In Kharkiv, police stopped a vehicle with a damaged VIN code.
This was reported by the patrol police of the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka."
According to law enforcement officials, yesterday, October 29, at a stationary checkpoint, patrol officers stopped a ZAZ vehicle for document verification. The police found that the registration document did not match the vehicle in question. Additionally, upon inspecting the car, the patrol officers discovered signs of mechanical damage to the VIN code.
To clarify the situation, the patrol called in an investigative operational group to the scene. The citizen faces criminal liability under Article 290 (destruction, forgery, or alteration of the numbers of the vehicle's parts and assemblies) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
