What preceded this

Recall that since the evening of November 27, Russia attempted to attack Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine with strike drones.

Closer to morning, military forces detected the activity of four Tu-95MS aircraft that took off from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region. They were flying in a southeast direction. Later, at 05:06, it became known that seven of these strategic bombers were in the sky.

Starting from six in the morning, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed citizens that the Russian military launched cruise missiles of the "Kalibr" type from the Black Sea. Subsequently, explosions were heard in Odesa, Kropyvnytskyi, and several other regions of Ukraine. In the morning, the Navy clarified that there are 4 "Kalibr" missile carriers in the Black Sea, with a total salvo capacity of up to 22 missiles.

By around seven in the morning, the explosions ceased, and the situation became calmer. However, the missile threat persisted, and shortly after, missiles were again detected in Ukrainian airspace. Monitoring channels clarified that these missiles were launched directly from Tu-95MS aircraft, which, as of the time of publication, are still attacking Ukraine.
