On the night of November 9-10, a hostile Mi-24 assault helicopter was destroyed in the Russian Federation (RF). It was located at the "Klin-5" airfield in the Moscow region.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense.

According to HUR, the helicopter belonged to the 92nd squadron of the 344th center for combat application and retraining of flight personnel of the Russian Armed Forces' Army Aviation.

"HUR reminds that for every war crime committed against Ukraine, the occupier will face just punishment," the intelligence agency adds.

Mi-24

The Mi-24 is a multi-role attack helicopter designed in the USSR by the Mil Design Bureau in the late 1960s and put into production in 1971. Its distinctive feature is the combination of attack helicopter and transport functions, capable of carrying up to eight paratroopers.

The design of the Mi-24 allows it to perform tasks supporting ground forces, conducting reconnaissance, and providing medical evacuation.

HUR Operations

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine's HUR has been conducting numerous operations on the territory of the aggressor state aimed at weakening its military and political potential.

Ukrainian intelligence carries out these actions as part of a hybrid war, employing reconnaissance methods, sabotage, and information campaigns. Drones are used in such operations, along with cyberattacks, destruction of facilities, and strikes on key logistics points, fuel depots, railways, and air bases.

Some of the most significant operations by HUR on Russian territory have been detailed in RBK-Ukraine's report.
