On the morning of November 27, an explosion was heard in Crimea. The occupiers claim that air defense systems were activated and drones were attacked.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing local Telegram channels, the monitoring Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," and the Telegram channel of the so-called "head" of the occupation administration of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev.
"In Sevastopol, the explosion seems to be related to the work of Russian air defense," - writes "Crimean Wind."
Specifically, according to the monitoring Telegram channel, Russian air defense is operating from Belbek airfield and the Inkerman area. An alert has been declared in Crimea.
"In Sevastopol, the military is repelling an attack from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and air defense is in action. Preliminary information indicates that two aerial targets have already been shot down over the waters near the Northern side," - stated the so-called "head" of the occupied administration, Razvozhayev.
Moreover, local Telegram channels report that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are allegedly delivering a combined strike using a group of UAVs, Neptune missiles, and S-200 missiles.
As pro-Russian outlets add, it is claimed that Russian air defense is also active against drones in Yevpatoria and Saki.
Crimea was occupied by Russian troops in 2014. Since then, the invaders have turned the peninsula into a massive military base, surrounding it with air defense systems.
The Defense Forces continuously strike military targets in Crimea. In particular, partisans help with reconnaissance. For example, recently partisans identified an occupier base at Cape Fiolent. This site houses Russian air defense systems.
One of the main fears of the occupiers remains a strike on the Crimean Bridge, an illegally constructed crossing connecting Crimea to the mainland part of Russia. Thus, the occupiers are making efforts to protect the bridge from a potential attack.
In early October, partisans recorded the transportation of S-300 missiles to air defense systems in Crimea. At that time, it was about a complex located near the Kerch Bridge.
