In particular, men with outstanding child support debts will no longer be eligible for this deferment.
According to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization," fathers raising three or more children under the age of 18 may apply for a deferment. The law applies to both biological and legal adoptive parents.
To obtain a deferment, the applicant must contact the Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCR) at their place of registration and provide the following documents:
A completed application for deferment.
Passport and identification code.
Copies of the children's birth certificates.
Other documents that confirm the family's status as having multiple children.
Only after this will the TCR review the documents and make a decision regarding the deferment.
A family with three or more children is considered large by law. If the father does not live with the children, he must provide evidence of financial support or involvement in their upbringing to qualify for the deferment.
This provision also applies when only one parent is actively raising the children.
Additionally, according to the new law, fathers with unpaid child support obligations will not be eligible for deferment, regardless of the number of children. This change reflects a stricter approach to ensuring financial accountability among parents.
These updates aim to balance military needs with social responsibility, ensuring that only those who meet all criteria, including financial obligations, can benefit from the deferment from mobilization.
