President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. They discussed, among other things, Ukraine's priority needs.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram of the head of state.

"I had a conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and thanked him for Norway's decision to increase support for Ukraine next year from $1.4 billion to $3.2 billion, and to direct part of this funding towards the production of Ukrainian drones and weapons," Zelensky stated.

The President particularly noted the unanimous support for this decision by all parliamentary forces in Norway, which is a true testament to the unwavering solidarity of the Norwegian people with Ukraine.

"We also discussed other priority needs of Ukraine, particularly generators, energy equipment, and additional air defense resources in light of Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure," Zelensky added.

Norwegian Assistance to Ukraine

It is worth noting that Norway remains one of Ukraine's key allies. In particular, by the end of the year, it may transfer six F-16 fighter jets.

Recently, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre also stated that his government wants to allocate $2.7 billion in aid to Ukraine instead of the $1.3 billion provided for in the budget draft.

Additionally, it was revealed yesterday that parliamentary parties in Norway agreed to allocate 35 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.2 billion) in assistance to Ukraine in 2025.
