Zelensky: There are already 11,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region.

Ukrainian intelligence has reported the presence of 11,000 North Korean troops in the Kursk region, with their numbers continuing to rise.

The Ukrainian intelligence has recorded 11,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. Their numbers in the area are on the rise.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the evening address of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The head of state mentioned that he was briefed by the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service.

"Regarding the North Korean military on the territory of Russia, there are already 11,000 in the Kursk region. We are observing an increase in North Koreans and, unfortunately, do not see an increase in the response from our partners," Zelensky noted.

He also reminded that it will soon be three months since the start of the Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region. Ukrainian defenders maintain control over the "sanitary zone" near the border.

The president emphasized that the Kursk operation has greatly helped in freeing defenders from Russian captivity.

North Korean Soldiers in the Kursk Region

It is worth noting that according to the latest information voiced by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, there were 8,000 North Korean soldiers recorded in the Kursk region.

Just today, on November 4, it became known that North Korean military were shelled in the Kursk region. However, there is no detailed information on the results of the attack.

Additionally, The Korea Herald reported that Russia will pay North Korean soldiers $2,000 per month.
