Changeable weather is expected across Ukraine this weekend, with precipitation in the form of snow and rain, as well as gusty winds. In some areas, roads may become hazardous due to icy conditions and wet snow, according to the forecast from Ukrhydrometcenter.
Heavy snowfall, blizzards, and strong winds will persist in the Carpathians, with a significant drop in temperature overnight. Variable weather conditions will also be observed in the rest of the country.
On Saturday, November 23, northern and central regions are likely to experience snow mixed with rain at night, and light snow during the day. Roads may become icy in areas such as Cherkasy and Vinnytsia.
In the east and south, rain and positive temperatures are expected, while the western part of Ukraine will see more snowfall and colder weather, with nighttime temperatures potentially dropping to -6 °C.
The situation in the Carpathians will remain challenging due to ongoing snowfall and frost. In other parts of Ukraine, daytime highs will range from +1 °C to +12 °C depending on the region.
On Sunday, November 24, wet snow and rain are anticipated in the southeast, while in Transcarpathia, there may be occasional wet snow and icy conditions. Heavy snowfall will continue in the Carpathians.
In the western regions, nighttime temperatures could reach -8 °C, with daytime temperatures fluctuating between -3 °C and +2 °C. The rest of the country is expected to be dry but cold, with temperatures in the south rising to +8 °C.
The State Emergency Service has warned that most of Ukraine, except for the southern regions, will see snow accumulation of 3 to 15 centimeters. Ice and wet snow will create dangerous road conditions, especially in the western and northern parts of the country. Travelers in the Carpathians should be prepared for blizzards, limited visibility, and difficult driving conditions.
