In Kharkiv, a drunken woman attacked her partner with a knife.

A woman has been detained in Kharkiv for nearly taking the life of her partner.

This was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka."

According to police, the incident occurred in the Saltivskyi district. A 32-year-old man from Kharkiv was drinking with his common-law wife.

During a quarrel, the woman stabbed the man in the back with a knife. The victim was taken to a medical facility in serious condition.

Police apprehended the 26-year-old woman from Kharkiv. According to the forensic examination, the victim sustained severe bodily injuries.

Investigators have informed the suspect of the charges against her for committing a crime as outlined in part 1 of Article 121 (intentional severe bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The woman faces up to 8 years in prison.
