Old Slovak threatened to ‘do the same’ as the Prague shooter, has been apprehended immediately

In Slovakia, a 64-year-old man has been apprehended by the police after contacting emergency services and expressing intentions similar to the tragic incident in Prague. The reference is to the recent massacre at Charles University, carried out by a 24-year-old student.

The Slovak individual made the alarming call on the same evening as the shooting in Prague. A video released by the police, as reported by the BBC, depicts officers conducting a search of his apartment.

Meanwhile, in the Czech Republic, following the shooting that claimed 14 lives, a series of security incidents unfolded, leading to multiple arrests. One distressing development involved a threat to the relatives of the 24-year-old gunman. In the western city of Pilsen, a person threatened to shoot neighbors, but upon arrest, he was found to be intoxicated and unarmed.

In Prague, a heavily armed unit responded to reports of a man potentially carrying a grenade at a busy intersection on Friday evening. Subsequent investigations revealed that it was a fake grenade, and two individuals were arrested, according to the BBC. On Saturday evening, a terminal at Prague airport underwent a brief evacuation after an English-speaking man alerted the police about five bombs he claimed to have placed. A search ensued, and the terminal was reopened once it was deemed safe.
