In the near future, Lithuania will send a new batch of military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The country will also continue to support Ukraine in the coming year.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
During his visit to Kyiv, Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas announced that a new package of military assistance would soon be dispatched to Ukraine. This will include thermal imagers, drones, and other equipment necessary for the battlefield.
Additionally, for 2025, Lithuania has allocated another 10 million euros for the procurement of various types of drones for Ukraine from Lithuanian manufacturers, and plans to allocate 30 million euros to support the Coalition for Mine Action, a Czech initiative for munitions, and investments in the Ukrainian defense industry.
It is noteworthy that Lithuania regularly provides military assistance to Ukraine.
For instance, in August, Lithuania announced a "significant" package of military aid for Ukraine, which will include, among other things, short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and anti-drone measures.
Moreover, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė stated that by the end of autumn, Lithuania plans to transfer more than 5,000 drones to Ukraine.
Recently, it was reported that Lithuania plans to provide Ukraine with additional assistance of 40-50 million euros by the end of the current year. Vilnius has already sent aid to Kyiv amounting to 153 million euros in 2024.
Additionally, Lithuania will allocate ten million euros for the production of the drone missile "Palyanytsia". It will invest following the "Danish model," meaning through direct funding of the Ukrainian manufacturer.
Furthermore, Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a memorandum on joint production of drones, munitions, and electronic warfare systems.
