The United States has reported approximately 10,000 North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. They may engage in combat in the coming days.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing a briefing by U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.
"As Secretary of State Antony Blinken mentioned on Thursday, about 8,000 North Korean soldiers have arrived in the Kursk region. We currently estimate that around 10,000 have arrived and may start participating in battles in the coming days," Miller noted.
He also clarified that he cannot confirm rumors that North Korean military personnel are already involved in the war against Ukrainian defenders. However, if the DPRK soldiers do engage in combat, they will be legitimate targets.
It's worth noting that the U.S. data regarding the presence of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region slightly differs from the figures provided by Ukraine.
Specifically, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated today, November 4, following intelligence reports, that there are already 11,000 DPRK soldiers on the territory of the Kursk region.
He emphasized that the position of Ukraine's partners regarding such support for Moscow from Pyongyang remains weak.
