The Cabinet of Ministers has established a new position of Commissioner for Customs Reform. Igor Smilyansky has been appointed to this role.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the speech of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Cabinet meeting and the permanent representative of the Cabinet in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on Telegram.
"We are introducing the position of government commissioner for customs reform, who will coordinate the customs reform process. This will be Igor Smilyansky. We are also creating a coordinating working group," Shmyhal explained.
He specified that the commissioner and the working group will face the following tasks:

It is worth noting that Igor Smilyansky was born on October 6, 1975, in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
In 1995, he moved to the United States with his parents and obtained American citizenship.
In 1999, he graduated from the Pace University Business School in New York.
In May 2005, he graduated with honors from the Georgetown University Business School.
He has worked at Cantor Fitzgerald LP, Citibank, and The Boston Consulting Group.
In 2016, he was appointed CEO of "Ukrposhta."
Recall that earlier the Cabinet appointed Serhiy Sukhomlyn as head of the State Agency for Recovery, who was previously the mayor of Zhytomyr.
