Beijing has announced the imposition of tariffs on certain types of American imports, including fuel. Additionally, export controls will be implemented on a range of raw materials in response to the Trump administration's 10% tariffs on Chinese imports to the U.S.

This information was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing CNN.

The new tariffs, announced by China's Ministry of Finance, include a 15% tax on certain types of coal and liquefied natural gas, along with a 10% tariff on crude oil, agricultural machinery, large trucks, and pickups. These measures will take effect on February 10.

The Ministry of Commerce of China has also announced a list of new export control measures, which includes tungsten-based materials typically used for industrial and defense purposes, as well as materials related to tellurium that can be used to manufacture solar cells.

This statement comes amid the implementation of a wide-ranging 10% tariff on Chinese imports to the U.S., announced by the White House.

Beijing has sharply criticized these tariffs in its statement and promised to "resolutely defend its rights," filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization and taking "appropriate countermeasures."

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his administration plans to negotiate with China regarding new tariffs. This increases the likelihood that the tariffs will not take effect.

In recent days, the U.S. announced new tariffs on goods from its largest trading partners - Canada and Mexico. However, these measures have been postponed. Trump has also threatened tariffs against the European Union.
