Restrictions on the arrival and departure of civilian aircraft have been implemented at three airports in Russia. This measure is in response to the threat of drone strikes.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Russian media.
The "Carpet" plan has been activated at the "Stupino" airport in Nizhny Novgorod. Temporary restrictions on the acceptance and departure of aircraft are in effect from 04:40 Moscow time (03:40 Kyiv time).
Additionally, restrictions have been imposed at the "Gumrak" airport in Volgograd. The air harbor has not been accepting or sending flights since 00:32 Moscow time (23:32 Kyiv time).
Furthermore, at 06:55 Moscow time (05:55 Kyiv time), the "Carpet" plan was activated at the "Pulkovo" airport in Saint Petersburg.
At 8:15 Moscow time (7:15 Kyiv time), the restrictions at "Pulkovo" airport were lifted.

In recent months, certain regions of Russia have been targeted almost every night by strike drones. Military sites, airfields, as well as oil refineries and oil depots have become targets for these drones.
On the night of February 8, strike UAVs attacked four Russian regions. In two of them, the targets were oil processing facilities.
On the night of February 6, drones attacked the Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai. In Primorsko-Akhtarsk, drones hit an airfield from which aggressors launch "Shahed" drones towards Ukraine.
On the night of February 5, an oil depot in Krasnodar Krai caught fire as a result of a drone strike.
