Pseudo-activist Ostap Stakhiv has been released from the pre-trial detention center. A bail of 908,000 hryvnias was posted on his behalf.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Grati".
Earlier, on November 28, the Halytsky District Court of Lviv decided to extend the protective measures for Stakhiv. He was kept in custody but was allowed to post bail of 908,400 hryvnias.
Today, the bail was posted, and Stakhiv was released.
Ostap Stakhiv, a native of Lviv region, began his political career in 2005, attempting to run for local councils and the Verkhovna Rada.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he actively opposed quarantine restrictions, calling them a violation of rights, and urged citizens not to wear masks and not to trust the authorities.
In 2021, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged him with attempting to overthrow the constitutional order, suspecting his connections with Russian special services. Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Stakhiv continued to spread disinformation.
According to the investigation, Stakhiv may have disclosed the locations of Ukrainian military units. Additionally, he offered so-called "intensive courses" on journalism and human rights activities, priced at 7,000 hryvnias.
He has been notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fraud.
