In just one day, Russian forces lost approximately 1,500 soldiers and 11 tanks, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In the past 24 hours, from January 15 to 16, the Russian army lost 1,480 soldiers on the front, along with 31 cruise missiles and 137 units of automotive equipment.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to January 16, 2025, are estimated to be:

• personnel - approximately 814,150 (+1,480) killed;
• tanks - 9,791 (+11) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 20,368 (+20) units;
• artillery systems - 22,015 (+40) units;
• MLRS - 1,262 units;
• air defense systems - 1,046 units;
• aircraft - 369 units;
• helicopters - 331 units;
• operational-tactical UAVs - 22,503 (+120) units;
• cruise missiles - 3,049 (+31) units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive vehicles and tank trucks - 34,132 (+137) units;
• special equipment - 3,697 (+1) units.

Situation at the Front and Attacks by the RF

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the aggressor's forces achieved success in the Kharkiv region, as well as near Toretsk and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.

According to the latest report from the General Staff, the Russians are applying pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk and Donetsk regions.

Last night, the aggressor once again attacked Ukraine with "Shahed" kamikaze drones. By morning, the air defense forces had shot down all enemy targets.
