Trump on tariff increases: it might hurt America, but it's worth it.

U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the decision to impose tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China is justified, even though it may have negative repercussions for the U.S. economy. He argues that these three countries, along with others, are "robbing America."
Трамп заявил о повышении тарифов: это может причинить США боль, но, по его мнению, оно того стоит.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, believes that the decision to impose tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China is reasonable, even though it may be painful for the U.S. economy. He claims that these three countries, along with others, are "robbing America."

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing a post by Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social.

"Countries like Canada, Mexico, China, and many others that cannot be named have been robbing America for decades, both in terms of trade and in the realm of crime and drug trafficking, which has been allowed to flow freely into America," Trump wrote.

He believes that those days are over and that America will no longer be a "foolish country." Trump urged the aforementioned nations to produce their products on U.S. soil, noting that in such a case, there would be no increase in tariffs. The President maintains that the United States "should not lose trillions of dollars subsidizing other countries."

"This will be the Golden Age of America! Will it hurt? Yes, possibly. Or maybe not. But we will make America great again, and it will all be worth the price that must be paid," Trump concluded.

Recall that in response to Trump's initiatives to impose a 25% tariff against Canada, Canadian Finance Minister Dominique Leblanc released a list of American products that are affected by the tariffs.

We also noted that China intends to contest the tariffs imposed by the U.S. on Chinese goods. The country has urged the States to correct their erroneous actions.
