In South Korea, following the declaration of martial law, military authorities have announced a ban on all political activities, including protests.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Yonhap.
It is noted that the decree issued by Army Chief of Staff General Park An-soo prohibits all political activities, including protests.
Additionally, the decree places all media and publishers under control and orders doctors on leave to return to work immediately within 48 hours.
Those who violate martial law may be arrested or searched without arrest.
At the same time, local media report that access to the parliament has been blocked in South Korea. Military vehicles have been spotted on the streets of Seoul.
As a reminder, today, December 3, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol declared a "state of emergency martial law" in the country. He accused the opposition of controlling parliament and paralyzing government operations through anti-state activities.
During a televised briefing, the president stated that the imposition of martial law is critically important for protecting the constitutional order of the country.
He also mentioned that opposition forces have a dominant influence in parliament, show allegiance to North Korea, and obstruct government operations by taking actions that could be deemed contrary to national interests.
