Италия: Евросоюз и США поддержат установление справедливого мира в Украине.

Italy, along with its EU partners, will support the United States in a policy aimed at fostering a just peace for Ukraine and safeguarding its independence.

This was stated by Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing ANSA.

Tajani emphasized that Italy, like other EU countries, will back the U.S. policy that will lead to a fair peace in Ukraine rather than its defeat.

"We are adversaries of Russia if we state that Russia must respect international law. We are not at war with Russia, but we are defending Ukraine's right to be an independent state," the Italian Foreign Minister stressed.

He noted that all EU countries will play a role in establishing peace.

"Together with the U.S., we will support a policy that aims to achieve the goal of a just peace, not Ukraine's defeat," Tajani declared.

The Italian Foreign Minister also added that Italy acts as a peacemaker and is not an enemy of any country.

These remarks were in response to the statement made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who claimed that Italy, due to its "anti-Russian" stance, cannot participate in the peace process to end the war waged by Russia against Ukraine.

At the same time, the publication notes that Italy has been a decisive supporter of Kyiv, providing significant military assistance following the Russian invasion.

Italy's Aid to Ukraine

Recall that at the end of 2024, the Italian government approved the extension of permission to supply military assistance to Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Italy supplies Ukraine with a wide range of weapons and equipment, including Storm Shadow cruise missiles capable of striking targets up to 300 km away.

Additionally, there are known deliveries of M109 self-propelled howitzers, anti-aircraft missiles, Spada and Skyguard systems, PzH-2000 howitzers, and multiple launch rocket systems.

Furthermore, Italy, along with France, has transferred the SAMP-T anti-air missile system, which is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
