One of the fraudulent schemes involves a fake census. Strangers, posing as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, appear at the homes of Ukrainians and attempt to obtain personal information.

They may request confidential information, photographs, or even fingerprints. The CPI notes that, at this time, no census is being conducted, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is not involved in these matters.
Another scam involves emails that supposedly come from the tax service. These messages claim that it is necessary to contact a tax worker at the provided phone number. The tax service warns that this is an attempt at fraud and urges individuals not to respond to such messages.
