The Russian army employs small group tactics for assaults on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, these groups attack from dozens of points simultaneously.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing a post by Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Maxim Zhorin, on his Telegram channel.

"The offensive tactics - particularly in the area of responsibility of our brigade - remain unchanged. They use small assault groups, no more than 6 people. It can also be 2-3 individuals, but from different sides. The record for our direction is that an assault on one position was launched from 21 points," the lieutenant colonel explained.

According to him, this tactic resembles "some kind of continuous conveyor." Meanwhile, the enemy does not take their own losses into account.

"The Russians have almost wiped out a division here. However, they still have reinforcements and reserves ready to be deployed, as this direction is extremely important for them," the deputy brigade commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade reported.

As a reminder, earlier in the 3rd Assault Brigade, it was stated that the Russians in the Kharkiv region aim to gain control over Borova, break through to Oskol, and establish a foothold for further offensive towards Kharkiv.

Additionally, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, in the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost 1,650 soldiers at the front, as well as dozens of various equipment. For more details on Russian losses for January 24 - read in the General Staff report.
