The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The agenda included discussions on the formation of corps within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, he announced this during his evening address.

According to Zelensky, during the meeting, he received a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the situation at the front in Ukraine and in the Kursk region.

"Among the issues discussed was the formation of corps in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are specifics regarding this matter. We will continue to strengthen our army. Combat brigades and the right military experience can be scaled," Zelensky stated.

The President noted that based on the initial defined brigades, other systematic steps towards modernization will be possible.

Additionally, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov reported on communication with Ukraine's partners during the meeting.

It is worth recalling that previously we reported that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, informed his NATO colleagues about the situation at the front, assessed Russia's plans to continue the war, and provided forecasts regarding its future actions. He also presented Ukraine's action strategy for 2025.

Furthermore, it should be noted that during the 25th meeting in the "Ramstein" format on January 9, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov presented Ukraine's military strategy for 2025.

This strategy is based on four key priorities: stabilizing the front line, strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, enhancing protection of the skies and maritime routes, as well as providing an asymmetric response to the aggressor's attempts to gain an advantage through scale.
