According to official data, as of January 1, 2025, the number of pensioners in Ukraine has decreased by 172,907 individuals, now totaling 10,343,630 citizens.

Despite the increase, a significant portion of pensioners continues to receive modest payouts. Nearly 2.7 million people, or 25.9% of all pensioners, receive pensions of up to 3000 UAH, which is almost half the national average.

Meanwhile, 25.5% of pensioners receive between 5000 and 10,000 UAH per month. Approximately 1.2 million pensioners receive the highest pensions, exceeding 10,000 UAH.

Even though pensions have been adjusted, many Ukrainians of retirement age still face financial hardships, as the rising prices of goods and services outpace pension increases, making daily expenses more burdensome.
