Центр политической информации сообщает, что Россия сильно зависит от боеприпасов, поступающих из Северной Кореи.

The Russian army is increasingly relying on artillery supplies from North Korea. Evidence of this is the transfer of North Korean self-propelled artillery systems M1978 Koksan to Russia.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalенко, on his Telegram channel.

"The supply of 170mm M1978 Koksan self-propelled artillery systems from North Korea to Russia and their dispatch to the Kursk region also indicates the loss of heavy artillery units by the Russian army and its shortage, thus Moscow is increasingly relying on Pyongyang and becoming dependent," noted the head of the CPI.

According to him, Russia is highly dependent on "North Korean" munitions at the front.

"Over 50%, and in certain areas more than 70% of artillery ammunition and mines are North Korean," Kovalensko added.

North Korea's Involvement in Russia's War Against Ukraine

As is known, North Korea is assisting Russia in its war against Ukraine. Initially, North Korea supplied its artillery shells to Russia, but last year Pyongyang sent over 10,000 of its soldiers to the war. Moreover, according to South Korean intelligence, North Korea intends to send a new batch of its troops to assist Russia.

At the same time, head of Ukrainian intelligence Kyrylo Budanov reported that this year North Korea may transfer another 150 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, as well as additional howitzers.

Additionally, political technologist Taras Zahorodniy assessed whether U.S. President Donald Trump could compel North Korea to halt its assistance to Russia in the war. During his first term, Trump attempted to build rapport with North Korea and even met with Kim Jong-un.
