Fatal accident involving a Kharkiv blogger: The Lexus driver has been named a suspect.

A Lexus driver, who crashed into a truck resulting in the death of Kharkiv resident Anna Zhuk and injuries to three others, has been served with a notice of suspicion.

This was reported by "Suspilne.Poltava", citing the spokesperson for the Poltava police, Yuriy Sulaev, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to media reports, the man behind the wheel of the car has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 286 "Violation of Traffic Safety Rules".

The penalties outlined in this article include imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, along with a ban on operating vehicles for up to three years. Investigations are currently ongoing.

Recall that 39-year-old Anna Zhuk died on January 24 at around 8:40 AM on the 209th kilometer of the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway near the village of Zasulye in the Lubny community. She was heading to her daughter’s birthday, the child of well-known influencer Stasa Makeeva.

According to the police, the Lexus, driven by a 24-year-old, collided with a Renault Premium truck that was parked off the roadway.

Zhuk died at the scene. Her son and another man sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

Anna Zhuk was a mother of three and actively supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2024, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, recognized the blogger.

On January 26, a farewell ceremony for blogger Anna Zhuk took place in Kharkiv.
