To complete the process of passing military medical commissions, "conditionally fit" Ukrainians need at least three months. This is indicated by the current capacity of the available VVKs.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Deputy Head of the President's Office Irina Vereshchuk during a telethon.
Vereshchuk stated that Ukrainians require additional time to undergo military medical commissions.
"Of course, lawmakers will decide, but our position is that at least three months should be granted. We understand that there is a certain number of VVKs - 1036. And there are over a million people who need to go through it. And there is a capacity issue. Therefore, after calculation, we need another 3 months," Vereshchuk emphasized.
Recall that in April of last year, President Vladimir Zelensky signed Law No. 3621-IX, which, among other things, provides for the cancellation of the status of "conditionally fit." According to the document, citizens recognized as "conditionally fit" must undergo the VVK again within 9 months after the law comes into effect.
Previously, RBK-Ukraine provided detailed information on who is required to undergo VVK by February 4, 2025. The publication also explained what the statuses "fit" and "unfit" mean and what will change for these categories of Ukrainians after passing the military medical commission.
It should be noted that last night Vereshchuk stated for the first time that the deadline for repassing the VVK for "conditionally fit" individuals will be extended.
