Ukraine will soon initiate talks with the U.S. regarding the restoration of USAID funding, according to Vereshchuk.

The Office of the President will soon initiate focused consultations with American partners. These discussions are essential to ensure the prompt continuation of funding for humanitarian response projects in Ukraine (USAID).
Верещук сообщила, что Украина вскоре начнет переговоры с США о возобновлении финансирования USAID.

The Office of the President will soon begin substantive consultations with American partners. These are necessary to ensure the swift continuation of funding for humanitarian response projects in Ukraine (USAID).

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Facebook from the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk.

"Regarding the suspension of USAID funding. Yes, this is unexpected and unpleasant news for both the authorities and the public sector. However, this is neither the first nor the last challenge we must overcome," Vereshchuk noted.

According to the Deputy Head of the Office, since she is involved in humanitarian response, "a 90-day pause from a key donor is understandably concerning."

At the same time, Vereshchuk is confident that the humanitarian sector will stabilize.

"We will soon begin substantive consultations with our American partners to expedite the continuation of funding for humanitarian response projects in Ukraine. As we work to stabilize the situation, we need to retain personnel and developments from the project teams," she added.

The U.S. Suspended USAID Funding

It is noteworthy that the U.S. is the largest donor of financial aid in the world.

On January 21, President Donald Trump announced a 90-day suspension of all foreign aid programs to assess their alignment with his foreign policy.

Just three days later, on January 24, The U.S. State Department issued an order to "cease operations" for all existing foreign aid and halted the issuance of new assistance.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) branch in Ukraine also suspended project operations and their funding.
