In Kharkiv, authorities may seize expensive vehicles belonging to the former head of the district military enlistment office.

According to the materials from the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), the family of the former head of one of the district military administrations in Kharkiv may have their luxury cars confiscated.

This information was reported by the State Bureau of Investigations, as conveyed by "Dumka".

As per the SBI, at the beginning of 2024, law enforcement initiated a pre-trial investigation in a criminal case under Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the possible non-declaration of property by a law enforcement officer from Kharkiv, who is the wife of the individual in question.

During the pre-trial investigation, Bureau employees discovered that the family of the head of the district military administration was using two new luxury vehicles registered under the name of the mother-in-law.

The materials available to the investigation suggest that the relatives of the official may fully dispose of these assets according to their rights. Additionally, the Bureau staff established the absence of legitimate income for both the official’s family and his mother-in-law to acquire such vehicles.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) to declare the official's assets unjustified and to recover them for the benefit of the state. Efforts to identify unjustified assets of officials are ongoing.
