On the night of January 31, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Russian occupiers are once again attempting to attack the capital with drones.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The air raid alert in the capital was announced at 03:57. A few minutes later, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, clarified that the alert was due to a threat of UAV use.
Later, at 04:18, the military urged residents of Kyiv to seek shelter as an enemy strike UAV was flying towards the capital from the northeast. Subsequently, explosions were heard in the city.
"A series of explosions rocked Kyiv, correspondents from Public reported," the message stated at 04:27.
The air raid alert in Kyiv was lifted; however, the threat of UAV use continues for other regions.
As of 04:37, the air raid alert remains in effect in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions. In the overwhelming majority of cases during the current alert, the reason for the signal is enemy UAVs.

After a while, explosions were heard in the Kyiv region as Ukrainian air defense forces engaged the drones. Shortly thereafter, the sounds of explosions were heard in Kyiv.
