Explosions can be heard in Kyiv as Russia launches drone attacks on the capital.

On the night of January 27, explosions were heard in Kyiv. The enemy is attacking the capital with strike drones.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referring to Telegram of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and its own correspondent.

The explosions in Kyiv were heard around 02:39. Shortly before that, an alert was announced in the capital. The military warned that enemy drones were approaching the city.

"Attention! City of Kyiv! Stay in shelters! An enemy strike drone is over the northeastern part of the city," the message stated at 02:38.

The Kyiv regional military administration reported that enemy drones have been detected in the region. Air defense forces are engaging the targets, as stated by KOVA.

Where the alert was declared

As of 02:48, the air raid alert continues in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi.

Let us remind you that about two hours ago, the capital had its first alert of the day. The reason for it was the threat of drone use, but soon the alert was lifted.

However, shortly afterward, explosions were heard in Kyiv region. It turned out that enemy drones were detected in the region, which were being intercepted by air defense forces.
