This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Russian Telegram channels.

According to local residents, around one o'clock at night local time, explosions were heard in the Ryazan region. Specifically, about 4 explosions occurred near the village of Dyadkovo and another 10 in the area of Pesochni, as reported by Telegram Mash.

Subsequently, footage began circulating online showing explosions during the drone attack. Initially, there was no official information available.

According to ASTRA, half an hour after the first explosions, loud explosion sounds were heard directly in Ryazan. Russians claimed that drones attempted to attack the oil refinery.

Around this time, the governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, responded to the situation. He began to assert that the drones were shot down, there were no casualties, and the material damage was being assessed.

"The air defense and electronic warfare systems over the territory of the Ryazan region have destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties, and material damage is being assessed. All emergency services are operational," he stated.

At the same moment, Russians started posting footage on channels showing a fire at the local oil refinery, as claimed.

Drone Attack on the Oil Refinery in Ryazan

Recall that just a few days ago, on the night of January 26, explosions were also heard in Ryazan. As reported by Russians, unidentified drones once again attacked the local oil refinery, after which a fire broke out.

Previously, RBK-Ukraine reported that the head of the CPD, Andrey Kovalenko, explained the importance of the Ryazan Oil Refinery. According to him, this oil refinery is one of the key facilities in Russia's oil industry and continues to operate despite sanctions. Kovalenko explained that the facility plays a crucial role in supplying fuel to both the civilian and military-industrial complexes of the Russian Federation.
