In just one day, there were 166 battles. The General Staff provided an update on the situation at the front lines.

In the past 24 hours, on January 26, there were 166 combat engagements at the front. Nearly half of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four command posts, four areas of personnel and equipment concentration, and one additional significant target of the Russian invaders," the General Staff reports.

Situation at the Front

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attacked our troops' positions near the settlement of Volchansk four times.

In the Kupiansk direction, there were 11 enemy attacks near Stepnaya Novoselovka, Kolesnikovka, Glushkovka, and Zagryzovo.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 15 attacks near the settlements of Grekivka, Novoegorivka, Nadezhda, Zeleny Hai, Makeevka, Yampolivka, and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, 21 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Chasovyi Yar, Stupochki, and Belya Gora.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched nine attacks near the settlement of Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces thwarted 78 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Vodyane Vtoroye, Mirolubovka, Yelyzavetovka, Luch, and more.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, Russian forces stormed the areas near Konstantinopol, Razliv, Razdolne, Novoselka, and Bolshaya Novoselka 12 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked once towards Novoandriivka.

In the Dnipro direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack on our troops' positions and was repelled.

Russian Losses in the War

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russian losses in personnel have exceeded 831,000 units. Just in the past day, the enemy lost another 1,430 soldiers. Additionally, yesterday the Defense Forces destroyed:

• 3 tanks;
• 12 armored combat vehicles;
• 16 artillery systems.
